Position details

As the DevOps Engineer, you will learn about biometric verification and work with the latest generation of smartphone technologies. In addition, you will collaborate closely with a team of nine hard-working DevOps engineers to help maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the systems that keep the client’s cloud-hosted infrastructure running smoothly.

Project details 

The project you’ll be working for is called ”Identity X”, which currently processes over 150 million biometric authentications per day, across six continents. Some of the leading clients that use this product are Mastercard Visa, BNP Paribas, SMBC, Denver Airport, PayPay, USAA Bank, and many others. 

Key responsibilities

  • Assistance with maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the systems that keep Daon’s cloud-hosted infrastructure running smoothly

  • Managing AWS infrastructure and maintaining the required service levels (including availability, performance, security, and cost) for IdentityX as a Service offering

Requirements

  • Scripting abilities: Python (preferred), Bash

  • An understanding of network topologies and design, as well as common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP, SSH, SMTP)

  • Knowledge of AWS and its various services (EC2, RDS, VPC, ECS, EKS, S3, Route53, IAM)

  • Experience in automating AWS environments (CloudFormation, Python/Boto, CDK)

  • Understanding of TLS/SSL

  • Strong security awareness

  • Basic SQL and DB administration skills

  • Git usage

Mandatory

  • Minimum of 4 years of DevOps experience

  • Very good verbal and written English (professional working proficiency)

  • Linux system administration skills, preferably RHEL and variants

  • Understanding and debugging of the HTTP protocol

Team

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled Cloud Services team on keeping the cloud-hosted infrastructure running smoothly. Currently, it consists of nine members, with seniority ranging from Intermediate to Senior. In their work, they use Kanban and Scrum methodologies.
